Topic: Access denied over network

This is driving me crazy, we just installed a new nion n3 on our network. I set the username and password and deployed a simple role for it. When I try to upload and connect to the nion I get an access denied message when I enter my username/password. Whats up? I can access all of our other nions on the network without any issues.

Re: Access denied over network

Hi John,

There are a couple things that could be giving you grief.

I'm going to assume that when you say that you set up a user name and password you are referring to the user account setup in your project file. In that user account setup you need to be sure to allow your user account to upload the project later.

Then, when you deploy your project to the NION, you need to be sure, when you get to the "Role Deployment" window, to check the box in the lower left corner that says "Save project to target". This will save the actual npa file on the NION. If you do not check this box, you will not ever be able to execute an upload and connect at a later time.

Good luck! Please let us know how it turns out!

Thanks Josh,
you were right on with this. I just needed to save the project to the target.
