Creating a new shortcut for NWare Kiosk

Before you can specify different command line options to customize Kiosk, you must create a new shortcut to nware.exe. You cannot use the existing shortcut in the Start menu.

The procedure below is relevant if you are running the version of Kiosk that is installed automatically with NWare, or the special standalone version.

To create a new shortcut for NWare Kiosk

  1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the NWare <version> or NWare Kiosk <version> installation folder.
  2. Right-click NWare.exe, and then click Create Shortcut.
  3. Right-click the shortcut, and then click Properties.

The Shortcut to NWare.exe Properties dialog box is displayed.

  4. If you are creating a shortcut to nware.exe in the NWare installation folder, add this switch to the command in the Target box:

    /personality=nware_kiosk

Note: This switch is not required for the standalone version of Kiosk.
