Topic: logarithmic vs. linear faders

Hello everyone,
This is my first post so I hope this is the right forum.
The faders in my NWare kiosk are linear and all the weight is in the last few bits. Is there a way to change the fade style from linear to logarithmic to give me and my techs a bit more space to work with.
Thank you in advance.

Hello Decibel001

Good question.  If you go to Device Properties of your mixer, and select "Live Taper" you will have the same audio taper that our Crest mixers use.

Good Luck

Re: logarithmic vs. linear faders

As of the release of NWare 1.4.2, on or about May 13, 2008 there was a new feature added to all gain devices and mixer devices. This new feature is called "Live Taper". It does the "inverse log" taper that a normal audio fader has as opposed to the linear taper that happens by default.

You can open the device properties and enable "Live Taper" to activate it.

You must use NWare 1.4.2 or newer to access this feature. Older projects can be updated to take advantage of this feature.
